Sorry about that. You caught me with one foot off the merry-go-round tonight.

Back Again
Wow, It’s been almost two weeks since I last tumbled and that seems like a crazy long time. I’ve been disgustingly busy recently but luckily the spring weather in North Carolina is getting better by the day and summer is fast approaching. The colors are getting brighter and the time for outdoor barbeques has returned. That means lot of Lilly and day drinking. I know it sounds vapid but...
I Was Called a "Walking Google" Today
I may know a lot of random stuff, but not that much. This depresses me because I think peopple are reading less and less and lowering their intellectual standards.

yourmonkeycalled: I think Jelly Belly has a flavor called “that wistful, fleeting sense of youth.” It’s better than buttered popcorn. Those are totally my two favorite flavors.

This is an oldie but a goodie, I’m pretty sure it was on the Jawbreaker soundtrack. It came on my shuffle during my run yesterday and reminded me how much I like this song.

Radiohead continues to hold court as one of the coolest bands out there with their “Nude” remix contest. I love the original song and some of the remixes are really good. Radiohead has really embraced the Internet and its ability to connect to their listeners and connect the listeners to each other and I love them for it.
DLOD: 4/7/08 Flobots- Handlebars I’m not usually a big rap fan, but I like this lyrical rhythm and the level of intelligence. It’s catchy but it does make you think, especially the video. Besides, you have to love any hip-hop group that has members who play the trumpet and the viola. Update: After listening to this a few more times, I feel like this guy probably has a really nice...

When I was in 5th grade, my family got two cats. In my infinite 10 year-old wisdom. I named them Coco and Marmalade. Granted, they’re both pretty embarrassing names, but the latter occasionally causes a little pain when I say it out loud. That ends today. I was watching The Life Aquatic when I heard the exchange below. Luckily, I’ve never come across a rattlesnake in New Jersey.
Eleanor: Your cat's dead.
Steve: What? Which one? (Lighting cigarette)
Eleanor: Marmalade. I'm sorry.
Steve: What happened?
Eleanor: A rattlesnake bit it in the throat.
Steve: Goddammit, Eleanor, why do have to say it like that? You couldn't try to break it a little bit nicer?

Everyone that doesn’t have a Google Reader needs to sign up immediately. It;s incredibly well-designed: streamlined and organized. What’s more, based on the streams you subscribe to, GR will recommend similar sites. What with Gmail, Reader, and Docs, is there anything Google can’t do? (No.)
Up And At 'Em
…Not so much. Still feeling gloomy this morning. I really miss home and my family. Basically, I’m getting tired of taking care of myself and I just want someone else to do it for me for a little while. And on top of that, my mother isn’t returning my phone calls. I think she’s on a furniture buying trip for the shore house (Dear god that sounded pretentious. It’s not,...
